Hi all - hope you are enjoying the break! I have been painting a fence today in Whangarei (my Mother's house) but was chased inside by a rain shower.  Hope the weather is good where you are.  A huge thank you to the parents that came on the trip to the Botanical Gardens.  Here are some pictures Ms Harland sent me.  I have some on my phone and have emailed them to myself but they are not through yet so I thought I'd put up the ones I have so far - and I will add to this.

Botanic Garden Trip

Dear Parents and Caregivers,

Thank you to everyone who has offered to assist with supervision on our Kiwi Team trip to the Botanical Gardens.
The following parents have indicated that they are able to supervise a group on the day:
Jenny Collins
Michael/ Maria Davies
Shanel Hall
Erin Thompson
Angela Wu

Unfortunately we only have limited spaces on the bus so we request for parent group leaders that are not required on the bus to use their own transport to and from the Gardens.

The following parents are required to accompany us on the bus:
Jenny Collins
Michael/ Maria Davies

If you are able please send along an empty yoghurt pottle on the day.

Kind regards

Nicola Williams

Kia ora folks!

Yesterday we reviewed some of the maori language we have learnt and practised our 'korero' song. You may notice Jake and Eden are missing from the video.  These two super helpers noticed that we had pastel on our nice mat - and offered, and set to cleaning it off.  Thanks you two :-)

Happy Father's Day!

Well done to the four speech finalists from Room 5  Peter, Lily, Mia and Taylor.  Congratulations to Lily who placed 3rd.

Our calendar art is nearly done.  Have a look and see if you would like to purchase one (as a calendar - it is a great PTA fundraiser.  The children have worked hard on these (we did intend to have them finished earlier but have had a few issues keeping the colours nice and bright) They are looking great now.

Happy Father's Day to all the great Dads out there! Here is some of the writing which hopefully made it home to you.

My Dad works really hard.  I help dad mow the lawns.  I push the lawnmower.  He plays footy with me.  He catches me when I have the ball.  He videos weddings and he is very good at it.  I love my Dad.
